Lysimachia vulgaris, also known as yellow loosestrife or garden loosestrife, is a herbaceous perennial native to Europe and Asia. It features upright stems adorned with lance-shaped leaves and clusters of bright yellow flowers that bloom from late spring to summer. This plant is commonly found in wetlands, ditches, and along streams, where it adds a cheerful pop of color to the landscape. However, it should be noted that Lysimachia vulgaris can be invasive in some regions, spreading rapidly through its creeping rhizomes.
