Field forget-me-notMyosotis arvensis

Myosotis arvensis, commonly known as field forget-me-not, is a delicate annual to short-lived perennial wildflower native to Europe and Asia. It is characterized by its small, sky-blue flowers with yellow centers, borne on softly hairy stems. The name “forget-me-not” originates from medieval folklore symbolizing remembrance and enduring love. Unlike many similar species, Myosotis arvensis thrives in disturbed soils, fields, and roadsides, where it blooms from spring to autumn. Its modest size and persistent flowering have made it both a familiar countryside plant and a cultural emblem of memory and affection.
