Liverleaf

Hepatica nobilis, commonly known as liverleaf, is an early-flowering perennial wildflower native to Europe and parts of Asia. It is notable for its three-lobed, evergreen leaves, whose shape once suggested a liver, giving rise to both its common name and its historical medicinal reputation. The star-shaped flowers appear in early spring in shades of blue, violet, pink, or white, often before new leaves emerge. Hepatica nobilis is long-lived and slow to spread, and its early bloom made it a symbol of endurance and renewal in traditional woodland lore.
