Harebell

Campanula rotundifolia, commonly known as harebell, is a perennial wildflower native to temperate regions of Europe, Asia, and North America. It is distinguished by its slender, wiry stems and nodding, bell-shaped blue to violet flowers, which give it a delicate, graceful appearance. Its colloquial name “harebell” is thought to come from folklore linking the flowers to hares, which were believed to nibble on them. Unlike many other wildflowers, Campanula rotundifolia thrives in poor, rocky soils and coastal cliffs, making it a resilient species in challenging habitats.
